History...
The Gujarati Cultural Association was established in 1998 by a group of families interested in preserving and promoting Gujarati language and culture. A formal committee was formed by elected volunteers who were directly associated with our activities.
The activities started with regular classes for children at the Benn Partneship Centre in Rugby with 19 students later expanding to 38 students and moving to a bigger venue at Lawrence Sheriff High School
During the early stages we were supported by the Sikh Social & Welfare Association and Shree Kalyan Mandir of Rugby.
